Two questions account for most of the conversations a PG owner has with tenants: "how much do I owe," and "when's my notice period up." Both used to require finding whoever keeps the register. Now a tenant can just look.
Quick answer (for the impatient)
- Tenants log in with the same OTP login AXOIX uses across every vertical — no separate app, no new password to remember.
- They see their own bill, payment status and notice period — the exact same record the owner sees, not a summary.
- It's view-only for now — paying the bill still goes through staff, not a "pay now" button in the portal.
The question every PG owner answers on repeat
"How much do I owe this month" and "when does my notice period end" are the two questions a PG front desk fields more than any other — usually by someone digging through a register or a spreadsheet while the tenant waits. It's a small interruption each time, and a constant one across dozens of tenants.

AXOIX now gives tenants their own login — the same OTP-based sign-in used across AXOIX's other verticals, not a separate PG-only app — where they can see their current bill, what they owe, their payment status, and their notice period, without asking anyone.
What the portal shows — and what it doesn't do yet

The portal shows exactly what the front desk would tell a tenant if asked: their bill for the current cycle (rent, meal plan, utilities, any late fee — the same combined invoice covered in the billing post), their payment status, and their notice period. It's built on the same underlying tenant and billing records the owner's dashboard uses — not a simplified copy that can drift out of sync.
What it doesn't do yet: a tenant can't pay their bill from inside the portal. There's no self-serve "pay now" button — collecting payment is still a staff-side action. It's a genuine self-service view, not yet a full self-service transaction.
Built on infrastructure that already existed
The login itself — OTP authentication, the account shell, the navigation — isn't new. It's the same customer-portal framework AXOIX already runs across its other industry verticals, reused rather than rebuilt from scratch for PG. What's new is what a PG tenant actually sees once they're in: their bill, their dues, their notice period — a view that simply didn't exist anywhere in the product before this.
Where AXOIX is honest about its limits
- View-only, not pay-online. A tenant can see their bill; they can't pay it from the portal yet.
- No document upload or in-portal messaging. The portal is a bill/dues/notice-status view, not a full tenant communication hub — that still runs through the WhatsApp/inbox side covered separately.
- It's a web login, not a native mobile app. Tenants access it the same way they'd access any AXOIX customer portal, from a browser.
FAQ
How does a tenant log in?
OTP-based login, the same system used across AXOIX's other verticals — no separate app or new password.
What can a tenant see?
Their current bill, payment status, and notice period — the same records the owner sees.
Can a tenant pay their bill from the portal?
Not yet — payment is still collected and recorded by staff.
The bottom line
A tenant asking "how much do I owe" shouldn't require finding the person who keeps the register. Giving tenants their own view of the exact same record the owner sees — no separate app, no summary that can drift out of date — is a small change with an outsized effect on how many conversations a front desk has to have every day.
